Optimization of Low-frequency Emission Antenna Layout of Automotive PEPS

Abstract: In this paper a simulation method for the layout optimization of low frequency emission antenna in automotive Passive Entry and Passive Start (PEPS) system is expounded. In order to calculate the magnetic field intensity of the low frequency antenna which was based on the height of instrument panel and instrument desk in the vehicle. The method combines the vehicle model and low-frequency antenna parameters, and uses the HyperMesh software to simplify the vehicle model and the FEKO software to model the low-frequency antenna. Calculating magnetic field distribution of the antenna different layout, to ensure that the magnetic field strength of the instrument panel, and to solve the issues that the real vehicle in instrument desk can't detect intelligent key provides the basis of qualitative analysis. And then the magnetic field intensity of interior space was optimized hy adjusting the antenna layout direction.
