Abstract: With the raising of national health consciousness,dietary nutrition has attracted great attentions of our government and citizens.Microbial products includes edible fungi,microbial proteins,fermented foods and probiotics.This type of foods own their unique flavors and are rich in easily absorbed nutrition.It also provides a variety of physiological active substances which participate in the regulation of human metabolism and improve our digestive,nervous and immune systems.Therefore,microbial products are widely used in enhancing body immunity and the prevention and treatment of some diseases.In this study,we reviewed the common microbial products and their effects on human health.In addition,the situation and development of microbial products in China were briefly introduced and discussed.
