Abstract: In the paper, a rubber-tired mobile stacking machine is designed to remedy the disadvantages of the stacking equipment for the terminals with limited storage space. With reference to the main design parameters of mobile forklift, the layout of material conveying mechanism is determined based on the principle of material conveying system. Discrete element simulation software EDEM is used for material conveying simulation, simulating its conveying-stacking process and analyzing its stacking efficiency and effectiveness. Practice has proved that the equipment greatly improves the stacking efficiency and stacking height of the terminals, liberates the workforce, and saves storage costs and track laying costs for the terminals.
