Abstract: Currently, quayside container crane has gradually developed into 3E Grade and 3E Plus super large quayside container crane. As the front and rear girders of large quayside container cranes become increasingly long, the problems of bar stress and height difference of rail bearing beam are noticeable during the manufacturing of quayside container crane. The two problems make on-site rectification more challenging, increase the risk of working at heights and productions cost, and also decrease the reliability of product quality. It is imperative to choose correct and reasonable manufacturing process scheme so as to control bar stress and height difference of rail bearing beam. The paper reveals the reason behind bar stress and height difference of rail bearing beam, and expounds the optimization schemes for the fabrication, scribing and machining of girder, bar and pylon of quayside container crane, which can provide reference for further optimizing the process in relation to bar stress and height difference of rail bearing beam of quayside container crane.
