Abstract: The diplomatic strategy of "keeping a low profile, and doing something" has a deep cultural background,by which China deals with the western peaceful evolution, safeguards national security and seeks its own development.Due to the diversity of security’s concept, the interweaving between traditional security and non-traditional security, and the complication of China’s security situation,China should still adhere to the strategy of "keeping a low profile, and doing something".At present China is faced with three levels of security threats in security field.Firstly,America is bringing about real threats and the resulting security dilemma in our country.Secondly, there are many unstable factors in our neighboring countries, which may lead to direct threats to our security development.Thirdly, the deep development of non-traditional security may result in the deterioration of security environment in our country. In order to respond actively to all these threats and remove the security dilemma,it is necessary for China to keep adopting the diplomatic strategy of "keeping a low profile, and doing something".
