Progress and Further Effort Idea of Uranium Exploration in Erlian Basin

Abstract: The progress of uranium exploration in Erlian basin was illustrated in this paper,researches were focused on three aspects:map compiling and prediction,theoretical study,geological and geophysi-cal,geochemical exploration in interested tracts. The results shew that prospecting work was efficient on the surface of Erlian basin which lead to the discover of uranium deposit in two target horizon,but the exploration in the deep is not adequate. Analysis on the prospects of the two types uranium deposits indi-cated that paleo valley type is still the main exploration type in Erlian basin. The key points in the fur-ther exploration were the spatial orientation of sand body,discovery of new horizon and new types.
