Influence of Parameters on the NO removal rate by Dielectric Barrier Discharge at Atmospheric Pressure

Abstract: A set of experimental set-up of coaxial cylinder-tube dielectric barrier discharge reactor was designed to investigate NO removal with non-thermal plasma produced by barrier discharges. Experimental results show that the method is effective. The influences of parameters such as length of the discharge region, the discharge gap, the amplitude and frequency of applied voltage on the NO re-moval rate were also investigated respectively. The results show that the removal rate of NO increased with increasing length of the dis-charge region and the power voltage. As discharge gap and power frequency increasing, the removal rate of NO increased first and then decreased.
